Instant Pot Chicken Adobo

If you have an Instant Pot Pressure Cooker in the house, quick cooking ceases to be a problem! And the best part is that, with some recipes, like this Chicken Adobo, you don’t even need a minute’s preparation beforehand! It is easy, it’s wholesome, and it is super quick – not to mention super tasty! So let’s take a quick look at this Instant Pot chicken recipe in 12 minutes!

First – what all you will need:

  • Chicken pieces (legs or thighs or even breasts) – 8-10
  • Regular vinegar – 1 ½ to 2 cups (adjust according to taste)
  • Light soy sauce – 2 cups
  • Water – ½ – 1 cup

And now for the procedure:

Step 1: Pour in the vinegar.

Step 3: Add the chicken.

Step 4: Now add in the water.

Step 5: Next add in the garlic, sprinkle it around.

Now this is the standard recipe for adobo, but the best part is that the recipe is greatly flexible and can actually be changed around according to your individual tastes. Just keep in mind that the liquid should submerge all the chicken, and too much water is going to make it very bland, since you are cooking it in the Instant Pot, and there is no evaporation as with stove top cooking.
